This morning I took off from Rancho Santa Fe to surf Boneyards (North of Swami’s) in Encinitas. Had a terrific session with friends and was driving home through Cardiff when something unexpected happened. The roof racks I’ve had on my Acura RL for 6 months released at 45 MPH and my brand new custom longboard went air born landing over the jersey barrier. While the fin got destroyed and I was in total shock I was greatly relieved that there wasn’t a single ding or scratch. The bag itself is 100% fine as well.
